Your machine is currently running lots of 32 bit stuff on it already. You could most likely even run 16 bit software if it had a 32 bit installer. That is the main encumbrance. You just can't run 64 bit software on a 32 bit OS. This is going to be a slight speed difference, but the average user will never see it.
