While it was downloading the updates it froze up and crashed vista. It is a new install of Windows vista home basic. (Windows and hardware drivers). I managed to restart the computer, but when I went to download the updates, same thing again. Any thoughts on why this is happening? The firewall is set to accept the updates. A note on the hardware, 1.8Ghz Celeron chip, 3GB Ram, 320GB HDD.
