Be advised that, although the computer may appear to be working fine, that may not
necessarily be the case, due to security problems and other assorted maladies inherent
in Vista (and other OS products as well.)
You may, for example, find that certain programs will not update unless specific
Vista updates have been installed, you may find your computer subject to virus and
trojan attacks, and so forth and so on (and on and on and on...).
I realize that there are users who never install updates, and seem, somehow, to manage
quite well. I also know that there have been instances of installed Vista updates
that have themselves, created problems.
In short, I think it is up to you as to how you decide to proceed, leaving things
as they are or figuring out (and, perhaps, even solving) the problem(s).
