To scan (weekly) for malware that Avast or AVG don't pick up (no one scanner picks up everything), MalwareBytes and SuperAntispyware. To clean up the places where malware lurks, CCleaner (don't bother with Registry "cleaning", but you might find the Cookie tool useful) To avoid much of the malware problem in the first place, use Firefox instead of IE. All the above are free downloads, and "tried and tested". Do this quickly, before too many infections take hold.
