nothing downloads

when i try to download or update my program nothing happens the screen comes up saying
"click to run or click to save " so i click run and the box disappers and nothing
happens. ive tryed to save and run it from there but it comes up saying folder not
there
any ideas??????

I, for one, am totally unable to even begin to fathom what "my program" is that you
are trying to download and/or update, nor how you are attempting to do that.
Perhaps you would be willing to provide at least a modicum of useful information
when asking for assistance?

sorry but i meant to put a program not my. it happens when i try and download any
program from anything ie a email attachment

First, simple things to try: Restart computer, delete any/all temporary files, run
anti-malware/anti-virus programs.

with what programs?

This may not be of help in that you have mentioned E-mail attachments , but that
is not what you described in your text. If you are failing downloads then the first
place to look is whether you have a yellow bar near the top of the window, right
after you tell it to do the DL, that you can click on to permit the download to continue.
This feature stops viral content from doing an unauthorized DL of malicious software
and makes you make a conscious decision to continue.

there is no yellow box near the top in the emails and also it happens when i download
a programme or game or anything come to think of it nothing downloads
