I'm having a similar problem with my XP where the OS suddenly shuts down on me at
random and mostly during bootup. Then my computer continues to run as if it's asleep.
Nothing wakes it - I have to UNPLUG the system and start all over. My system: SCSI
Hard Drive, SCSI CD ROM, 1Ghz PIII, 512mb ram, ATI All-in-Wonder 128 videocard.
I thought it may be my SCSI configuration but there's no evidence for that yet.
Please help!
