Afternoon Ricer46, the running processes are: Running processes: C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\Ati2evxx.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe E:\CBPrograms\nero\incd\InCD\InCDsrv.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccSetMgr.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\SNDSrvc.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccEvtMgr.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\EPSON\EBAPI\SAgent2.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\GEARSec.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\Ati2evxx.exe C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXE C:\Program Files\Norton SystemWorks\Norton AntiVirus\navapsvc.exe C:\Program Files\Norton SystemWorks\Norton AntiVirus\IWP\NPFMntor.exe C:\PROGRA~1\NORTON~1\NORTON~3\NPROTECT.EXE C:\PROGRA~1\NORTON~1\NORTON~3\SPEEDD~1\NOPDB.EXE C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\CCPD-LC\symlcsvc.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\Tablet.exe C:\Program Files\Belkin Bulldog Plus\upsd.exe C:\Program Files\PowerQuest\Drive Image 7.0\Agent\PQV2iSvc.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\ZoneLabs\vsmon.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccApp.exe C:\windows\system32\qttask.exe C:\Program Files\Microsoft AntiSpyware\gcasServ.exe C:\Program Files\Microsoft AntiSpyware\gcasDtServ.exe C:\Program Files\Microsoft ActiveSync\WCESCOMM.EXE C:\Program Files\Belkin Bulldog Plus\MUPS.exe C:\Program Files\Zone Labs\ZoneAlarm\zonealarm.exe C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\OUTLOOK.EXE C:\WINDOWS\System32\spool\DRIVERS\W32X86\3\fpdisp5a.exe E:\CBPROG~1\FIREFOX\FIREFOX.EXE The system idle process shows 95 - 98 free, with explorer accounting for the rest. But for as long as 30 secs nothing appears to be moving in the tasklist, and then at the 31 second mark the SIP drops to 92, explorer shoots to 8, and the directory tree is shown. Thanks for your input. Regards, Chriscb.
