I need to expose another fallacy here. Formatting is the FIRST option when things
go wrong IF you have a DRIVE IMAGE to restore with.
Electro-Mechanical drive damage and hardware failure aside you can FULLY restore
the system in under an hour.
If your drive is partitioned and you dual boot the same Operating System (in two
different languages) on two separate drive partitions, you can boot to one and restore
the other whilst you continue working.
