When the Windows Advanced Options Menu appears, you select last known good configuration and press Enter. But if you can't boot into safe mode, I doubt you''ll make into the other. Is that all the blue screen says - install or repair WinXP? Is it a "blue screen of death" with white text on it, including five 10-character hexadecimal numbers? Specifically, what happens (or not) when you try to do an install or repair that you said "it won't let [you] do"? What kind and make of computer? Do you have a full-install CD for XP, or a recovery disk from the computer manufacturer?
