It's a matter of when, not if. Some will go for years and some a matter of days or weeks. You would need a more professional recovery package to try and sort it out but you really need the assistance of someone that has experience in working with failures such as this one. I don't think the forum will be able to help. It's one of those "need to see it" type of problems that may take tools (hardware and/or software) to fix. First start with a diagnostics program from the hard drive manufacturer to check the hard drive for failure and data loss. After that, it can get way more complicated.
