Windows Installer malfunction Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at 3:14 pm Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by kuka (1 messages posted) Hi there I am experiencing problems with my Win XP installer. I am getting message: error 1608 unable to create installdriver instance return code: -2147221021. I did almost everything to fix it with no success, so I tried to make the installer to compile an install log so maybe I could figure out what was happening. I used: Setup.exe /Verbose"d:\place for logs\package.log" but it didn't work either. Could somebody give me a tip on how to make the system to compile an installer log?
