Hi,

I tried to disconnect all the HDDs (except the system one, which is the WD) and CD/DVD
players and Floppy.
Interesting, I discovered the following:

1) WD is my primary HD, where on C:\ I have my OS installed. When I switch my PC
on, the system does not boot.
This is a mistery to me, because I can see that WD is my primary disc and it is!

2) I tried then to connect the Maxtor, which is the slave disc, so, WD + Maxtor,
the system boots up with the usual problem of the 27 sec. blank screen in between,
which is the normal situation.

So, I guess the problem is the old Maxtor, but why cannot I boot if I disconnect
it??

Hope someone can explain this, I feel we are close to solve the problem...

Thank you
Alex
