OK guys, another step...

The reason why I could not boot up with WD is because I had to change the jumper
settings due to the fact that I have no longer to IDE devices on the same cable.
After having done so, I can boot up from WD.
Sad news is that the 27 sec. blank screen remain there, as a result, I don't know
anymore where to put my hands.

Funny enough, (I forgot to mention this before) if I boot with OS W2K instead of
WXP, the boot is fast, no 27 sec. to wait.

Ideas before I give up??

Thank you
Alex
