Ok...Go into the Registry (Start>Run, type regedit) and navigate to the following key: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Drive\Shell\Open\Command and check what command it is using to open (on the right side, "(Default)" key, under data. Post back what it says.
I've seen all sorts of strange files set to run when you open a drive, and if it isn't able to run that file, it asks what program you want.
