Laptop on 100% ram use all the time Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at 3:09 am Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by glenn (100 messages posted) My laptop is on 100% usage from the moment I turn it on and so is virtually unusable. There are two clues to what is going wrong: When I turn off the laptop two 'this program is closing down' windows appear. They never appear normally. The first is Windows.exe and the second is HiddenFaxWindow. Neither of these actually does close down: I get a 'program does not respond' message and have to hit 'End Task' I should add, that I do not have a fax. (I was using Skype last night, if that is relevant.) I have no idea how to proceed. So any help would be much appreciated.
