My sister has some young children and she is worried about what they see and could
get themselves into on the internet (which is good parenting IMO). They each have
accounts that they have personalized. She wanted to set it up the same way you are
asking about. Let them keep their accounts but not be able to login anytime they
want when she was not around.
She is the computer administrator as are you so that lets her (you) change passwords
of other accounts (your kids)
Login to your admin account go into "user accounts" click on their profile and click
change password..enter a new password your kids won't figure out.
This way when they want to login to their profile you will have to be present to
enter the password for them or they can't login.
They can't change the password either while logged in because to do so they have
to enter the current password in order to create a new 1.
They were mad for a while but they got over it ;)
