Martin,
Probably involved with ACPI Power Panagement and it's Drivers.
Even in Win98 it's difficult to address any PM problems on an individual Basis. Remove/Reboot
seems to be the only Solution.
I did find a Check box for the ICON in Control Panel> Power Options Properties,
Advanced Tab, however, I think this just allows the ICON on/off,. Probably wouldn't
correct incorrect Display of Power state.
ACPI is a complex System, so getting it fixed is an accomplishment.
What would we do without Device Manager?
