Oops. Laptops should never be laid on a rug or carpet. The bright spark who designed the laptop probably decided that putting crucial air vents on the bottom was the right place for them. It is vital that air vents are kept clear, free of dust and fluff etc. Laptop overheating is very common. Cheers. Spexx.
