I won't be giving up!
I did defrag the other day. I could defrag again with the extra 2 gig but here's
what I have left on my partitioned hard drive: c: used 14.9 GB free 7.71 GB; d:
used 59.5 GB free 12.7 GB.
I did a bunch of stuff with CCleaner and believe that's where a lot of my problems
began. One problem was things weren't loading right. I roamed the internet and
it was suggested to change Virtual Memory. I think CCleaner changed what I originally
had. I went in there and it was set to recommended 574 MB. I checked System Managed
Size for both c and d drives and things worked okay. Both drives now say:
Minimum allowed 2 MB
Recommended 574 MB
Currently allocated 1149 MB
So I'll leave it at that because things are loading properly. Maybe that's a problem.
Maybe it has to use so much virtual memory because my memory is not working properly.
??
Do you mean start, run, chkdsk? If so I just did it and it said:
The type of file system is NTFS
Warning! F parameter not specified
Running CHKDSK in read-only mode
File verification completed, so did indexes, so did security descriptors. 100% completed.
What can I type to find out what this computer has?
Thank you.
