Missing Safely Remove Hardware Icon Friday, July 25, 2008 at 12:00 am Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Clive Richardson (7 messages posted) I've recently installed an Epson All-In-One printer/scanner (USB connection), and after restarting Windows the Safely Remove Hardware icon has disappeared from the System Tray. I've tried Customize in the Taskbar - Properties but no matter what I do there, it won't reappear. When I run sys32/rundll32 and stop one of the devices the icon reappears in the System Tray. Is this an XP bug?
