There are obvious file system errors that I am pretty sure chkdsk can repair. Currently, chkdsk starts up when the computer is booting but then immediately self-cancels, so it never fixes the errors. Thanks for the tip on how to get it to not check the dirty bit, but that is not the issue right now. Windows runs, but I have no way to fix the file system errors without running chkdsk, and chkdsk won't run to completion.
