I think Bob intended that you sort out the memory issue first and foremost, then worry about anything else after that. You may be trying to do too much at once now! It could have been the uninstallation of Comodo Firewall that "broke" your internet connection, but you certainly do not want to remove your firewall and antivirus solutions - they are essential, not surplus to requirements. I agree with Bob that the best way forward is to buy a 1 Gb RAM module and install that on its own, without any of your existing RAM modules alongside. Run with that and see what we have. Cheers.
