hi thanks. yeah, i've tried resource hacker actually. nifty program. but instead
of changing the splash screen to something else (even invisible), i'd like to get
rid of the 'reference' in the executable that makes it display the splash screen
(and pause for those useless seconds).
by the way, sorry for that harsh response yesterday. i hadn't seen your 'oops' follow-up,
and i'd also been drinking a bit and was somehow vaguely entertained by
being mean. no need for that, though, 'cause we're all just trying to help each
other. so sorry. :) thanks for the feedback.
