They aren't doing any harm, just sitting there - apart from maybe offending your sense of neatness (I feel that too) - but if you should find later that you did need one it is easy just to re-enable it . . . In passing, I find WinPatrol (free download) a very practical way to control what starts up with XP (and when). MSCONFIG is neither an easy nor an informative tool, and does not list every start-up process.
