*************** ALERT ***************
From the symptoms
described in your post, it is suspected that the PC has been infected with a type
of malware. This is a prepared
speech for guidance. In general, it is found that if one malware infection is apparent
on the PC then it is likely that there is more than one infection present. It may
require the use of more than one anti-malware program to remove all traces of malware,
since no single program can deal with all types of malware
threat. It is recommended that you seek specialist advice with malware removal,
such as that available on the forums at:-
Spyware
Beware Malwarebytes Geeks
To Go WhattheTech
to
name four, but there are others available if you search on Google. Read the notes
"pinned" at the top of the forum page, follow all instructions carefully and remember
to register before posting any of the requested logs. Only post to one of the
forums! Be prepared to wait for attention. In many cases, the programs recommended
by the specialist forums for initial scanning are able to remove the malware and
the logs that you will be posting to the forum will show your PC to be cleaned, so
do not worry! If further action is needed to clean the PC, you will receive very
detailed instructions which should be followed carefully. You will not have to
pay for any of the software used, or for the time of the specialists on the forums,
but donations will be very much appreciated.
While you are waiting for attention
at the forum of your choice, read this article about how
the PC might have got infected in the first place, following the links at the
top of the page.
For self-help enthusiasts only, the following recommended
programs are available free for home use:-
Malwarebytes
RogueRemover Malwarebytes AntiMalware SUPERAntiSpyware Sunbelt
Counterspy Spybot Search
& Destroy Lavasoft
AD-Aware Free
to name six. If you do not have an anti-virus solution already
installed on the PC, then you really should! My recommendation is Avast!.
I hope this helps. Cheers. Spexx.
