Hi birju,
There is one other option which might or might not be effective, depending on the
program you are trying to run, and that is a utility called TameDOS. It's not freeware,
unfortunately. I recall it costs somewhere around $US20. But it enables programs
which were originally written for a true DOS environment to run well under the NT
versions of Windows.
Normally, for example, dBASE for DOS would be just about unusable in a Windows 2000
or XP environment, with or without compatibility mode, but with TameDOS running in
the background, it's as smooth as silk.
