When it offers updates, assuming you have not selected fully automatic installation
of updates, you can choose a manual installation dialog instead of the automatic
installation. Do that and it will first give a list of updates which which you can
check/uncheck to install. Any that you uncheck, it will present you with a further
dialog to select whether to ask you about them again or not. Do that with SP3 and
just say no. You can always get it to offer previously-refused updates again via
an option in Control Panel - Automatic Updates. Hope this helps. Cheers. Spexx.
