Sounds like you need more assistance than I can provide. From a google search it
could be a number of things, your Firewall, XPSP3 install, Auto Updates turned on.
Try looking in Event Viewer, sometimes gives clues to the problem. Control Panel>Administrative
Services.
I would wait till someone with more Network experience replies to your Message. This
link will provide specific info on Device Manager in WinXP.
