Mira,

Most likely you have either a Bad Display Back light Inverter or a Failing Back light 
Fluorescent Tube. Bad connection or broken wire to the display is also possible.

Unless you are familiar with Laptop Disassembly and repair, your best bet is a Manufacturer 
authorized Repair Facility. 

I would first determine if you Laptop is still under warranty by contacting the Manufacturer's 
Support Site. Also check for Known Issues with Display.
