I recently brought an IDE to USB converter to connect my ASUS DVD writer to my laptop through USB inteface. The device is detected and it reads discs perfectly, but the problem arises when i try to burn a DVD using Nero Burning ROM or Nero Express, it shows a "DMA driver error, timeout occured" and the writer stops the burning process, which in turn, renders the inserted DVD unwritable. Till now i have lost 4 blank DVDs just because of this..need help...
