If is isn't bad, there are some brands of readers that are incompatible with XP Pro. When I contacted the manufacturer, they confirmed this. I contacted the seller, and they swapped it out for another brand that was compatible. It was in a camera package deal that I had purchased and they just assumed I was using XP Home.. That said, some devices will have a file format that isn't compatible with Windows either so make sure that isn't an issue too. What brand and model is the reader?
