XP "Help and Support" is BLANK!

Windows XP Pro SP3 totally up-to-date

When I click start and choose "Help and Support" I get a banner on top but no text
below. It's just blank white space. When I search for something, the right pane remains
blank. When I use the index and click on an item, the right pane remains blank.

"Help and Support" also crashes a lot.

Don't know if it matters, but I just migrated to a larger HD using Acronis True Image.
Everything else seems OK so far.

Please don't suggest that I run SFC (System File Check); I can't! Microsoft and folks
here at annoyances.org can't figure out why.

As an aside, has anyone tried to use the new Microsoft Forums? They're completely
impossible. Microsoft has finally succeeded in completely cutting off anyone who
has a question or problem from any meaningful help. When I click on "Ask a question"
I get redirected to "Edit my profile"!

Thanks for reading/replying.
