Windows Media Player- USB port errors Monday, July 6, 2009 at 11:49 am Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by stymie222 (48 messages posted) Whenever I plug a device into my USB port I receive an error pop-up that says Windows Media Player has to close. This pop-up reappears endlessly after closing. It also appears even though The player was not in use. My MP3 player ,(which is a USB connection) tech support advised me to reinstall WMP . I need a way to be sure I am doing it correctly because that does not seem to work.
