Thank you for your response. Your comment about Comodo started me thinking. I also
have Comodo and over the weekend I had an update for it. Because our problems appear
to be very similar I am 90% convinced it must be due to the update. I am going to
uninstall Comodo, I have an earlier version that I burnt to disc. Will reinstall
that version and see what happens. I will post back once completed. Thanks again
for mentioning that update.
