It is perfectly normal to have multiple instances of certain services
such as svchost.exe active time because they may be used by
more than one program or application running at the same time.
The memory usage and changes are also nomal and are
essentially irrelevant to the problem you are having unless the
total memory resources are running out. What matters in this
instance, as Ricer inferred, is CPU usage. You do not state which
version of Internet Explorer you are using, but it is almost certainly
the culprit.
Try clearing your system of I.E's temporary innternet files and
other junk. The recommended tool for this is Ccleaner, which
you can find with Google if you do not already have it.
If the problem persists after you have done this, try a different
browser such as Firefox. If that fixes the problem, you will know
for certain that the blame for your problem lies with IE.
