Auto session timeout

Hi -
I am not sure what to call this feature in XP, but it is very annoying. When I am not active on my login session, for example to step away for lunch, XP stores my desktop session away and displays the multi-user login screen - you know, the list of icons where you have to choose which user's desktop to access.

This is very annoying because when I click on my user icon to re-load my desktop, it actually first pops to my screensaver. Then I move the mouse, and XP futzes around for a minute and goes back to the multi-user login screen again!! Then I click on my user icon again, and finally get back to my desktop!!

Very annoying. Does anyone know how to turn off this session timeout feature in XP? I want to be able to go away, say overnight even, and come back to just my screensaver, NOT the login screen.

TweakUI does not offer a solution for this AFAICS. I'm afraid the only solution is to disable multiple logins.. :~(
Any hints out there?

Thanks -
