re: workgroup name resetting to mshome Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at 9:13 am Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Mark (377 messages posted) I have seen it do this if you go through the "set up file sharing wizard" , to my knowledge, "mshome" is it's default so that your other computers will be the same, I experienced it recently sort of "resetting my LAN with a new router",with reserved IP add, just like you, I had to go change each machine to "workgroup" ..
