Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at 10:51 pm Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Impfac (15 messages posted) My xp box at some point stopped reading dvd's, but will read cds. I tried different drives, cables, and motherboard ide slots-same result-inserting a dvd freezes explorer if you try to open it but cd's read fine. I presume its a software issue. Tried reloading the drivers by deleting the device and uninstall nero, also a registry fix with upper and lower somethings I found multiple places... wtf? Any help greately appreciated.
