Given that the problem only occurs when the battery is fitted there are two possible
causes, one being a faulty or incorrect type of battery pack, the second is a faulty
part of the laptop called the DC board (this is normally a plug in unit)

In explanation, as with all modern Laptops the so called "Battery" is in fact a composite
storage and processor based charge/discharge management system which talks digitally
to the laptop via the DC board , the DC board is the other half of the equation it
takes the incoming power from the power brick / or the battery and distributes it
to the laptop motherboard and also from the brick to the battery for recharging

To eliminate the battery pack the easy way is to test it in another known good same
model laptop

Cheers HC
