Defender is not an antivirus program, as I'm sure you know, so there should be no conflicts with AVG. It's always coexisted fine with AVG in the past despite my low level suspicion about AVG's Resident Sheild. Now, if the case is that Grisoft has decided to start disabling other vendors legitimate security products because they think they know better, that's another topic entirely.
