Advanced searches in XP

I need to search all of my images to find where any duplicates are so that I can
tidy up my photo storage. Other than the normal search facility in XP, does anybody
have any suggestions as to how I can go about this? As many of my photos are direct
from a digital camera, they have the same filename (i.e. DSCF0001.JPG) - can I do
an advanced search with some software to also include when the picture was taken,
created etc?

Just search for ".jpg" , without the quotes and all jpg files will be listed. Be
sure to select Search In C drive. From there you can click the field tab labled
Name and it will sort all the files alphabetically.

After you search for all *.jpg pictures you can right click on the column headings
and add items like date created, last modified, size, etc. Left clicking on the
column headings will then list the files in ascending or descending order.
