Large Space

My computer is only a few months old, but it has this large blank space in middle
section between applications that are listed in the add/remove programs in control
panel. Why is this and how can I fix it? Thanx in advance.

It didn't work. However, I did notice that my autocad program does not have an icon
next to it like all the others do. I"m not sure if this has anything to do with
it or not. Thanx anyways.... and if you have any other ideas, let me know... thanx!

You used Regedit to remove the negative number or the complete entry as directed
on Kelly's Korner web site?
Repair install WinXP /
Clean install WinXP

I could not find a negative number when following the instructions in regedit as
suggested. And the last application is yahoo messenger. I am supposed to remove
that? I don't understand.

I know AutoCad has something to do with it cuz I uninstalled AutoCad and it went
back to normal. Soon as I reinstalled AutoCad the large space came back. So this
program has something to do with the large space.

Kelly's Corner instructions are incomplete, in that the negative number is in the
"last application listed" before the long white space, not the last application in
your entire list. Go to the key specified, scroll down to the last application in
your list before the long white space, and look for the key "DisplayIcon" and change
the number at the end from a negative number to a positive one.
Yes, the reason the icon wasn't displaying was this error.
My similar problem was caused by an applet called CombiMovie. Changing the number
to a "1" fixed it.

When following directions in the regedit, it does not display the autocad listing
that is giving me problems. However it is in the add/remove and is the last application
listed before the big space but does not have an icon beside it like the others do.
