Favorites & Printer Dialog

When I select an entry from the XP Favorites list the printer dialog box opens. This affects many of the entries. Any ideas, please?

Further information.

The Favorites folder on my laptop is corrupted. All entries, when selected, bring
up the printer dialog. I have checked the folder properties against my desktop PC
and they are identical. I have exported the contents of the folder to a "Bookmarks.htm"
folder and checked the URL's. Everything appears OK and selecting an entry takes
me to the correct website. Importing the bookmarks back into the folder restores
the error situation.

I was subjected to a severe spam attack about a week ago and have been very active
identifying viruses and spyware and getting rid of them. I suspect that in the process
I have deleted a key file but an attempt to repair Windows has not helped the situation.

ZoneAlarm shows that selecting any internet shortcut on my laptop launches spoolsv.exe.

Solution: I found the answer at Experts Exchange, which pointed me to this URL: http://windowsxp.mvps.org/internetshortcut.htm. The first suggested action worked.
