Display Properties is NOT function correctly. How can I get an update from Microsoft? Use DOS, after I get a list of them? I tried to copy from my disc, but was told that it didn't exist. Tried all the DOS Commands that I could remembrer--usually wrong parimiters. I'm unable to read most things. Desktop and Widows are the same color. On the "theme" showing; Desktop; Appearance, etc. It's a minute, almost imbeded print that is not readable + this appears elsware. Please Help! Thank you, Safta. PS: Wish there was a spell-check.

You do not need to get a download from Microsoft, all you need is your XP CD. First
try a quick repair of your OS, using system file checker.
Click Start, Run, type sfc /scannow ,click OK. Insert XP CD when prompted. The program
will check for corrupted files and reinstall them but unfortunately it does not provide
a report. Reboot.
If the problem has not been resolved then run a repair using the steps as outlined
at this site.

I think you have changed the system font size from your description, If you can see it, change your theme to another and see if that helps/

Get Firefox!
