Maximising a window hides Title Bar

Hi there,
When I maximise any window in xp the title bar is hidden. If I double click the top
of the window, it reappears.
How can I restore my system so that when a window is maximised, the title bar with
minimise/maximise/close buttons are always shown?

Is it possible your monitor display setting is to 'tall'?

Thanks for that, I have changed my display settings from 1280x1024 to 1152x864 and
when any window is maximised now, the title bar is still displayed.
However, I 110% definitely have always had my monitor set to 1280x1024. So what could
have happened to cause the issue with the display?
Any ideas anyone?

Set it to 1280x1024 then adjust the verticle size of the display so it fits on the
screen. Ditto for horizontal.
