When I start my computer a window pops up stating: Please wait while Windows configures the Sonic Activation Module - then another window that states: An installation package for the product Sonic Activation cannot be found - try again - then another window that states - Feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removable device. No matter how many times I cancel or close these windows they keep reappearing. How do I get rid of them? I looked on the CD's that came with my computer and can't find anything that might be related to this. Thanks for any help.

Uninstall Sonic in add/remove programs. The program may be damaged.

Check your startups for any reference to it, but it sorta sounds like a Windows Installer
problem. Install and run this Cleanup Utility, see if there's anything listed related
to that app. Let us know what you find out.

You said, "Not a WXP problem"...

It certainly is an XP problem! It makes no difference whether it's Dell OEM XP installation
or other.

I downloaded and ran the Windows Installer Utility and that seemed to take care of the problem. Thanks, Jeanette
