Pointer(Big Box Showing Contents CLUTTER)

I do not know the term for my annoyance, but I wish to turn OFF a certain feature
associated with my pointer. Using my mouse, when I rest the pointer over a file,
a BIG BOX appears showing the "Type, Author, Title, Date, Size" This clutters the
other listed file names. I have no use for this BIG BOX "pop up."
I've tried "Control Panel", and the "My Computer" Properties, however I cannot find
a solution. Can anyone out there tell me how to turn OFF the above feature so that
when I rest the pointer over a file, then NOTHING will pop up?
