UPS Virus

Just been got by this virus.
It looks like its been sent by UPS (the parcel people) saying i've missed a parcel.
The attachment has been clicked on by a member of my staff. The computer now shuts
down every so often and they get a pop up saying "your computer is infected" ...
the popup disguised as XP security centre. Cannot install avg 8.0 , bit defender,
super antispyware and iobit ( programs that have in the past got rid of most viruses)
Could anyone assist.
Thanking you in anticipation
Howard

Buy (yes dinero) a USB rig which will connect your hard drive to another computer
(about $30). Connect your drive to a computer which has an up to date AVAST anti
virus program installed. Run AVAST on your infected drive. Put your now virus free
drive back in your computer. The USB rig may be the handiest item you have ever invested
in.

Someone must be really mad at UPS. The virus infection is all over the web.
Here is something to try.

If that doesn't help try posting on a malware support forum. Read the instructions
and register first.

Where do you come up with those signatures and how do you implement them?

I made the easy signatures, and a talented friend made the difficult ones for me.
They are uploaded into Photobucket and linked with HTML code.

right click on my computer and go to properties, click system restore tab and turn
it off, then delete the email from your inbox, outbox, sent items and deleted items.
Delete "C:\documents and settings\yourusername\localsettings\temp files, NOT the
folder, just the files. Then reboot and run your antivirus 3-4 times. This should
remove it. Hope that helps
