Media Sharing in WMP11 Stalls & Wont Share

I'm wanting to play music across all of the computers on my network, but control
it from one system.
(For example, i'm having a party, and want to play the same music in different rooms,
but control it from one system.)
Ive been following the instructions in this link:

but i'm stuck at that linked step.
Here's the problem:
I go into Library>Media Sharing, and enable "Share My Media" and then press okay,
then the program hangs for a few minutes, and then functions again, but wont allow
me to get past the "Okay/Cancel" dialogue into the next step. The window doesnt close
or change, it just remains open so i'm forced to cancel.
I've tried enabling any relevant services which may be turned off and no success
yet.
Can anyone please help??
