I'm not sure why that article exists for WinXP, however, forget about creating custom
access rules in your firewall.
Go into control panel -> windows firewall -> under the "general" tab, make sure "do
not allow exceptions" is unchecked. Then click the "exceptions" tab and check "File
and printer sharing" and click OK. All that nonsense you are trying to accomplish
is accomplished with that one check mark. This is also automatically checked when
you enable file and printer sharing in windows so it is unlikely that it isn't already
checked.
Now, is this your first post about this problem, or have you started another thread
somewhere?
And, how about describing what the problem is that you're having, because from the
sounds of it, it probably has nothing to do with the Windows Firewall.
